This was our second stay. The owner is so easy to work with. The house is fabulous for large groups and the property is unmatched on the lake! The addition of the hammock was a family favorite! Coffee lakeside in the morning, all day out on the lake, cocktails pool side with the lovely lake view before preparing dinner in the well equipped kitchen….I loved every minute of our stay!!
Relaxing & Renewing vacation!
Wonderful house set on a private lot on the edge of Lake Oconee–perfect for the 11 members of our family. Something for everyone in this house – wonderful kitchen, great game room, amazing covered porch and private pool area. With so many activities provided (biking & many outdoor games) we didn’t even do all we could have. We did rent a pontoon and the access to the dock from the house couldn’t be easier. The owner was extremely helpful and available at all stages of the rental and the entire process ran smoothly. Thank you Libby!
Perfect Location-Perfect House!
This property is amazing! The pictures do not do it justice. The house was clean and in perfect condition. Libby, the host, is so easy to work with and very helpful. The house is in a great location inside Cuscowilla. We were a family of 13, ranging in age from 8 to 74. Everyone was entertained and had plenty of space. I cannot say enough good things about this property. From the game room to the pool to the lake to our favorite gathering spot for morning coffee and evening cocktails on the back porch. This house has it all! We look forward to returning in the future and enjoying this beautiful home again.
50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration
The house was located on a beautifully landscaped point of the lake. There were stunning views of sunrises and sunsets. Accommodations were spacious and private with lots of gathering places within and on the property. Supplies were well stocked and organized with easy access. The owners were very helpful and friendly. The memories made here will be cherished forever.
Stunning view of the lake…great house for a big party or multiple families.
This lake house has an incredible view of the lake with pristine grounds and an awesome pool and hot tub combo. The main house is massive with all kinds of bedding available and multiple seating areas to spread out not to mention a great game room to compete with family and friends. On the short you can’t go wrong staying at this house! Lastly, the owners are always available to help with anything needed and that’s very helpful when staying in such a big home with so much to offer. This house is fully equipped with all you need for cooking, grilling, gaming and much more. Definitely will re book this house again.
Best trip and team retreat EVER!
This was an amazing home and a private retreat. We enjoyed this well-manicured home and property for our Real estate team retreat. We will carry these memories with us forever. The owner was amazing and attentive to all our needs. We will return every year for Retreat and can’t wait for next year. I also plan to book for my family retreat and have all my grown children meet us in Georgia at the beautiful sanctuary. You absolutely cannot book a better place with more attentive and caring owners. It’s a 10 from us. Can’t wait to return!
Lake Oconee fun
We rented this property in the hopes of having a fabulous time with kids (13,12) and close friends. Everyone had a blast and in particular the home itself is very well organized and extremely clean and well-kept. Libby (owner) did a fantastic job of giving me information well ahead of my travel as well as checking in with me right before and after our stay. We were able to swim, fish right off the dock, but also rented a boat, jetski, paddle boards and there was plenty of room on the dock. This was all easily accessible from the house. The pictures of the property do not do it justice as the property, landscaping and even dock and dock area are all in excellent shape. We were able to swim in the pool, go to and from the lake as well as eat outside on the patio surrounded by beautiful lake views. At night when we turned in we could watch movies play games as well as cook great dinners in the well stocked kitchen. At night when we turned in we watched movies, played games and cookes great dinners. The kitchen is well stocked. We also lit a fire in the outdoor fireplace one rainy night. I cannot say enough as both my family and our friends are convinced that this was the highlight of our summer. We all highly recommend this property and can not say enough about what a fab experience we had. Thank you Libby for everything and we hope to be back soon!
Amazing Lakehouse
This house is perfectly located on the water with a very nice outdoor pool, patio area. Panoramic views of the lake from inside and outside. Was the nicest home I have ever stayed at! Will be returning in the future

Great Lake Week!
We were repeat customers for this property this year, and it was really great once again. Bob and Libby are great to rent from! It’s really a great property to hang out at for the week and enjoy sitting by the lake, swimming in the lake or pool and cooking and eating with the whole family.

We needed a large house to sleep our extended family for a long weekend. This house was great and provided everything we could of asked for. The owner was so helpful and responsive. We would stay here again , in fact we tried too!
Fabulous Views and Outdoor Living Space
This amazing house is nestled back in the beautiful neighborhood of Cuscowilla. The home has beautiful outdoor living, swimming, and lake area. You are literally surrounded by the lake on all 3 sides. Very relaxing and enjoyable. Had lots of space for friends and the children, and big television to watch the football game. The home is immaculately clean and cared for. The owner answered all of our questions ahead of time and was very quick with her responses. We stayed with two families but could definitely accommodate a larger group easily. I am so thankful to have stayed in this luxurious home and will be booking the home again in the future.
Wonderful place for a retreat!
We had a board planning retreat at this beautiful house and it was the perfect location. There were 11 women with us and everyone was comfortable and had everything that they needed. The property was beautiful and had so many great places to sit and enjoy the lake. There was also plenty of space for us to get a bunch of work done which was the goal of our trip. Communication with the host was perfect! She was incredibly accommodating and made sure we had everything that we needed. We will definitely be returning next year!

Beautiful Lakefront Property
We loved our family vacation at this stunning Lake Oconee property. It is within a lovely private community on a golf course, which was great for walks and riding bikes. The home is very spacious with great views of the lake from multiple locations within the home. The outdoor living space is beautiful as well with pool and spa. Libby, the owner, was wonderful to work with! She was always quick to respond, has the house well stocked and organized with a variety of items to make your trip a breeze and very accommodating. I would highly recommend this property.
Above and beyond what we expected!
Our family gathered from several states at the Lakehouse on Oconee and we felt like we walked into “a home.” Literally, everything we could think of that we would need was waiting on us! From those necessary items in the kitchen to get you started, to extra beach towels, to a garage of awesome bikes/helmets…this home had it all and then some! Our family of 14 had large spaces to gather – we especially enjoyed our meals around the large dining table – and when we needed it, we had space to ourselves with private suite bedrooms, reading nooks, kids living room and game room. We spent our morning watching the incredible sunrise with gorgeous views from the dock, we swam and boated all throughout the day, and grilled out by the pool, played games on the lawn, and took long bike rides in the evenings…again, just an incredible vacation for us all! The kitchen is large, laid out well, and easy to maneuver around while cooking and visiting with family. An extra fridge and ice machine were a huge bonus! We loved our time here so much that we even took our annual family photographs out on the lawn, overlooking the lake! The best thing I can say about this lakehouse is that it is a lake “home” – from start to finish – we relaxed and felt like it truly was home for the extra-long weekend. My husband took a picture of the dining room and we both got a little teary-eyed to leave that space…so many memories were made there, watching our grown kids and grands, all together. And I cannot leave a thorough review without mentioning the host – “Libby” – wow! Over the top fantastic with excellent communication and advice on how we could make the most of our stay. From marina recommendations, to a thorough guestbook/manual for the property, to giving us her cell and letting us know that we could reach out at any time. I could feel her attention to detail and care in every room of the house. We are already making plans to contact her again in the fall, to set-up our June gathering for 2020!

Stunning house with a beautiful view
I recently spent a weekend at this house, and I had such a wonderful time! The house was beautiful, spacious, and right on the lake. It was clean and well-maintained, exactly as advertised. The owners were extremely accommodating and we had everything we needed and then some. The back patio, pool, and dock are absolutely stunning – we spent most of the weekend outside with a beautiful view of the lake! It seemed to be a fairly quiet portion of the lake which allowed for a relaxing weekend. The house is also a short drive from Madison and Milledgeville, so there were lots of places to dine out. If you’re looking to relax and spend some time on the water, this is the perfect place to do so.
Beautiful, peaceful, comfortable, sooo hospitable!
Not sure where to even start, but we had the absolute best experience at Libby’s home. The home is gorgeous and open with lots of space, but it is designed with different areas, so everyone can have some alone time too easily. There are plenty of bedrooms that are all in immaculate condition. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. There are 3 refrigerators, so for 4 families with kids ranging from toddlers to late elementary school, everyone had plenty of space. The game room and kids nook upstairs are wonderful and kept everyone entertained the whole time when inside. But outside is where it’s at. The pool is perfect. Only 4 feet deep, you can just hang out and relax. There is a hot tub that you can leave off and it is basically a kiddie pool. There are marinas close by, so you can bring your own boat and put in there and ride over to the dock at rhe house. All details of this home are well thought out, and we are already planning our return trip for next year. The best of part of this experience is that the owner, Libby, is absolutely incredible. She is excellent at communicating before arrival and quick to respond to any questions during the stay. We had an issue with our personal boat while visiting, and she was so kind, flexible, and accommodating while we sorted it all out. I highly recommend this home!! You won’t regret staying here!

Beautiful home, perfect for large family vacations!
Our family, along with my husband’s three sisters and their families, all recently enjoyed a week together in this beautiful home on the lake. The house was perfect for our large family! From the amenities and luxuries provided to the spectacular sunrise views shared each morning, it was amazing. The house well equipped with a variety of games and activities for the kids, both younger and older ones. We all shared some great laughs and good times upstairs in the game room. The porch and outdoor pool area had a variety of seating and space for all to gather and relax, tables and chairs were plenty and spaced throughout for eating and drinking or just taking in the amazing views of the lake. The dock was well maintained and in excellent condition, we rented a boat and also enjoyed swimming off the dock area. The owner, Libby, provided every detail needed to feel immediately comfortable in the home. She was very easy to work with and responsive to any need we had during the week. I would highly recommend this property for large family vacations!
Very nice
Libby was very nice and communicated well through email and text. Each room was very spacious and comfortable. The game room kept the kids occupied during down time. Libby had the beverage refrigerator stocked for us until we had a chance to restock it later. The dock was very close and we were able to jump right into the lake. We rented a boat and had no trouble tying it to the dock.
Breathtaking, Serene and Beautiful Getaway
First and foremost, the owner of the property, Libby, was a pleasure to work with. She was easily accessible and very eager to help our large group. We traveled to the waterfront property as a group of 18 women. (Yes, we shared beds but it wasn’t a big deal). We are all sorority sisters and needed some bonding time after 20 years of service in our sorority! The home was beautiful! The lanscaping was magnificent. The carriage house was a huge bonus! The ladies enjoyed the pool area and lounging by the lake. Even though we brought food into the home, the kitchen was fully stocked with condiments, plates, utensils, glassware, pots and pans, blankets, towels, shampoo, conditioner….. I can go on and on! We really enjoyed our weekend retreat and are considering making the retreat at this property a yearly trip! Thank you to Libby and her team!

Long Birthday Weekend at this GORGEOUS House! WE LOVE THIS HOUSE – view is AMAZING!
We did NOT want to leave this gorgeous house! The view is better than at the Ritz Carlton on Lake Oconee and so much more private. You can sit by the pool, get in the Jacuzzi, or hop in the lake and feel luxury all around you! Music can be piped through the sound system outside of the house and you can just relax! The landscaping around the house is well thought out making it feel like you are in paradise! Right before sunset we would go down and sit at the water’s edge in the Adirondack chairs and never want to leave. The house is on a peninsula and the view is breathtaking! There are plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone. This house even has a guest house that includes a conference room for meetings! They have spared nothing at this house to make it absolutely AMAZING! When I go to Lake Oconee again there will be no other place that I will stay – when you have had the best you just can’t go backwards. This house is the BEST and we seriously did not want to leave. If you are lucky enough to stay at this house I guarantee you will feel like my friends and I did – SO sad when it was time to leave!
Its a magical place
My family and extended family stayed here for 5 days and it was everything you see and can imagine. The owners were on call every minute even bringing us more beach towels when needed. The house is very spacious and accomodates a lot of people. Our first trip to Lake Oconee and we will be back!!!

Perfect place for our family reunion
Our vacation at this lake house is one of my favorite family vacations ever! There were 20 of us who gathered after our niece’s wedding ~ the teenage boys were happily given the carriage house, every couple had their own room, the teenage girls had a large room and bath, and we were surrounded by such beauty we could hardly take it all in! Everyone commented on how we had plenty of breathing room and also all of these little nooks to gather ~ the rocking chairs on the patio, the picnic table, the chairs along the water’s edge, the pool, the hot tub, the family room, the upstairs family room…it’s just the most charming and inviting place ever! ENJOY!
Amazing House!!!
This house was perfect for our girls getaway! I would recommend it to everyone! My group has stayed at this home for three years in a row, we cannot find anywhere better! We go in January, so we spent most of the time inside. There was plenty of room to play games, dance around, and have so much fun! We prepared our meals in the kitchen which was fully stocked with everything that we needed! All of the bedrooms and spacious bathrooms provided enough room for everyone to be comfortable! The owners are so nice and very helpful! I cannot wait to stay at this home again and I would recommend it to all of my friends! This place is awesome, you will not regret staying here!
Best vacation ever!!
We stayed there for a 5 day weekend to celebrate a big birthday, and had a fabulous time! The house is gorgeous, warm and welcoming, and so comfortable that we all slept better than we had in years. The environment was quiet and relaxing with so many seating options, and the choices of activities seemed endless. This was the best stocked and furnished home we have EVER been to in our many, MANY years of travel. Best location for views on the lake, easy access to shopping area and restuarants, and just perfect! This will certainly be an annual event for us….outstanding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fabulous experience!
The spaciousness of this property – indoors and out – can accommodate a large group of all ages, yet the furnishings and colors and endless amenities create a warm, welcoming and cozy environment. The variety of spaces make it possible for any size grouping to gather. The kitchen had every item you would ever need; the view from every window was lovely; and the poolside/fireplace setting and furnishings and lakeside features make it possible to enjoy all day and evening outdoors. Can’t wait to return!
Absolutely the BEST house on Lake Oconee for a large family….. well worth the price!!!
We just returned from this beautiful home on Lake Oconee and would give it 10 stars …if we could! Let me start by saying…. it is a home… not a rental! This was the best stocked kitchen I have ever been in. Lots of silverware, plates and utensils, pans and cookie sheets and most importantly… refridgerator space! The pictures don’t show all of the space that is in this awesome house; for example, there is a huge dining table with 12 chairs open to the kitchen as well as a tall bar table with 4 chairs all in the kitchen area. There was also a hidden toy room off of the upstairs TV room that simply had our 5 little ones (under 6 year olds) so in love with that they actually wanted to sleep in there. It was full of toys and so private from the other parts of the home that they played doll house for hours! The pool and spa were used all day …every day! Lots of lounge chairs to sit around the pool to get sun and plenty of tables with umbrellas to get some shade! There was a large porch with an oversized glass table and large cushioned chairs and stools (which overlooked the lake) that was used every morning for coffee and at night for cards. It was simply fabulous! The owners were extremely helpful and checked on us frequently to make sure that they were no problems. I would highly recommend this property to multi generational families because there was so much space to spread out that no one ever felt crowded or couldn’t find a quiet place to read! LOVE… LOVE …LOVED IT!!
Wonderful Home on Beautiful Pointe
This is the 2nd “Girls Weekend” stay at the house. As was the first time, the house was welcoming, spacious and clean. It has a great vantage point of the lake, and the amenities (pool, hot-tub), are very nice. Great house, accessible owners. Can’t wait to stay again!
This Place is AMAZING!
This place is amazing! We went for my 40th birthday in September and I could not have asked for a better get-away! Where to begin… the house is on a corner lot, so it has incredible views of the lake. September was a perfect time to be outside and that is where we spent the majority of our time. The pool and spa overlooking the lake are fabulous! There is also a large patio area with plenty of furniture. We started off every morning with our coffee on this patio overlooking the lake and returned there every afternoon for happy hour. The kitchen is large with two refrigerators and everything you could ever need to make large meals. There is a dining room table overlooking the lake, but again we just stayed outside :). The family room is huge and has a large flat screen tv which was perfect for football season. There is also a small sitting room off of this room for more intimate gatherings. The bedrooms are top-notch! Incredibly comfortable beds and large bathrooms. Most of the bedrooms have two large beds which is great for sharing. There is so much to do here at the lake, swim, lounge, golf, tennis, fine dining, but I kid you not. You will mostly want to stay in this incredible home! One highlight of this house is the game room upstairs! We had many competitive matches at the ping pong table, not to mention all of the video games. I could go on and on about how great this house is. Staying here was a fabulous way to celebrate my 40th birthday. I would love to go back with my extended family. This is a great house for entertaining whether with friends, family or both! I have been to several homes at Oconee over the years. This one is the best! You will not be disappointed!!
Perfect House for our large group
This was a perfect house for our large group (12 adults and 10 kids ranging from 18-4 yrs old). The house had everything we needed – very well stocked. Bicycles, water activities, toys, TVs, games…it had everything. The house had several sitting areas and even more dining areas. We easily fit into this house and enjoyed it very much. The lake was beautiful and so was the pool. The owners have everything documented so well from labels on the drawers to light switches. We were easily able to get in touch with the owners on a couple questions and they took care of everything.
Fantastic Rental
I cannot say enough wonderful things about this vacation rental. Everything from the home to the property to the owners was wonderful. I rent 1-2 homes a year for various family vacations and consider myself pretty picky about accomodations and this home exceeded my expectations. The pictures are very accurate, however, there is even more room than the pictures and description would lead you to believe. The home is also well stocked from water toys, life vests to basic things like serving peices and refridgerators. We had 17 adults ages 14 and over and 6 little ones and there was plenty of space for everyone -particulalry in the multiple outside seating areas. You can tell a lot of thought went into designing this home for large groups. We did encounter a few small hiccups with thngs not working but the owners were incredibly responsive and had maintenance people there within hours. I highly, highly recommend this home.
Perfect Golf Getaway
As a golf professional, I have taken many golf trips and stayed at many different places. None have been as perfectly suited for a large group at this wonderful home. The location was perfect. We were within minutes of Cuscowilla Golf Club and were centrally located between all the properties at Reynolds Plantation. In the past we have had to split our group of 12 golfers amongst a couple of properties. This year, all 12 were able to stay in one home and never felt cramped. Each player had their own bed and the outdoor living spaces, the game room and large kitchen worked wonderfully. The owners were also a pleasure to work with and made the arrival and departure a piece of cake. I would highly recommend the property. Whether you are a group looking to get some golf in at Reynolds or a large family looking to spend some time in a gorgeous and relaxing setting at the lake, homes don’t come any nicer. I would highly recommend the property to anyone wanting
A perfect experience
Everything about the house was as perfect as could be. With some other large house rentals, I have in the past found that although there were a lot of bedrooms, there often wasn’t enough thought put into making sure the seating/living/eating areas could truly accomodate large groups. This house handles all that perfectly, providing ample seating/dining space to go with the bedrooms, and providing enough separation from the living room, gameroom and play areas that a guest could get away if desired. The owners are very friendly and accomodating, and truly care to make it a “turnkey” experience for the guests. The house location on the lake is ideal, and the pool/spa just add that extra something that makes it like a resort experience. We had a tremendous time, and hope to come back next summer. Kudos to the owners for creating such a great experience.
WOW! What a home!
My husband and I recently stayed in this beautiful home with a group of friends and had a wonderful visit. The photos do not do it justice. It is absolutely gorgeous, and very comfortable. Plus, there was something for everyone to enjoy! Thanks for providing us such a wonderful place for a get-away. Even though the home can easily accommodate a large crowd…as soon as you step out onto the porch you enjoy the beauty and serenity of the property and the lake. The kitchen was so well stocked that cooking for a crowd was a breeze! The pool area is just fabulous. We loved how you could enjoy the view of the lake while sitting poolside. However, enjoying my morning coffee while rocking on the porch and watching the beautiful sunrise over the lake was THE BEST! We had a wonderful time and look forward to our next visit.
Family Gathering at Lake House
This was our second time to stay at this incredible Cuscowilla home, and given the challenges of the last year for everyone, it made our stay all the more wonderful! Our plans were put in place months back and the thought of gathering all of our grown children and grandchildren for a week on Lake Oconee filled us with such anticipation…we literally have all been pushing through lockdowns, masks, and the daily challenges of the pandemic with our reward being – “The Lake House” is waiting for us all! The neighborhood is safe and quiet, with meandering streets for walking, bike riding – even a community garden nestled among the Georgia pines and golf course. The main home and carriage house give everyone the space to gather for meals, lounge around the pool/spa, enjoy morning sunrise on the dock, and watch the glorious full moon rise in the evening as we all fished off the banks of the property. What a bonus to stay in such a stately home, with lush landscaping, and a perfect view of sunrise and sunset! We rented a boat for the week from Young Harris – highly recommend them – they delivered the boat to the marina right across the lake from our backyard! The host, Libby, is magnificent in her communication – nothing left to question, thorough, attentive, upbeat – a pleasure to work with! Some favorite aspects of our stay each year: coffee on the dock every morning! All of family being able to gather around the HUGE dining room table! The kitchen, pantry, laundry areas are well-stocked and labeled, which makes for easy navigating in a new surrounding. The pool/patio/lawn and dock area are equipped with a Sonos system and the addition of a Spotify soundtrack with impeccable sound quality everywhere we went was such a bonus! My grandkids love the assortment of TREK bikes and helmets! And the privacy within the home – the large bedrooms that provide space to be alone when you need to be, and the cozy gathering rooms throughout the home when you all want to play together or watch Netflix – there’s even a separate playroom and tv room just for the kids. The first year we stayed here, we all loved it…but this year as we walked through the doors after the separation of the past year, well, we all cried, literally were teary-eyed to be welcomed home again. We fell into our rhythm from the moment we arrived…8 days flew past and we took our yearly “family picture” on the lawn overlooking the Lake. Can’t wait until next year…worth every penny!
My name is Bob Preston and I have shared my place so much with friends and guests over the years that I sometimes feel more one of them than the owner! I designed and built this house in 2002, having spent a year in an exhaustive search for a similar house on Lake Oconee. My profession and passion is architecture, so I tried to create a sense of place close enough to Atlanta to be convenient, yet far enough away when you got here to feel you had truly escaped the city. The house is an Arts and Crafts design with a cozy feel that belies the size of the house itself or the lot. It is laid out and landscaped to slowly reveal itself, not unlike the design of an english garden. In this respect, I was fortunate to find such a great piece of land that lent itself so well to the vision. It’s a comfortable place to be, which I have tried to gear equally to a collection of familes, a golf outing or a corporate retreat. As such, it is designed to entertain the likes of children as much as those of clients. The Great Room, master bedroom and porch face east to take advantage of the sunrise over Lake Oconee. From the porch, you walk down across a mid-level terrace, alongside the pool and the hot tub. From here, you can stroll down to the dock or onto the landscaped grounds. I have always taken great pride in everything I have ever done and I think you will see that if you ever get to stay here. This will always be a special place to us, but my wife and I have four children who have now become involved in weekend activities in Atlanta.
